FRAUD ALERT!

This is the time when the vultures and scavengers come knocking at your door, promising to save your home,
put money in your pocket, live rent free, repair your credit and numerous other promises.
If it looks too good to be true, it probably isn't.
These scam artists have been around for years, but now it has become a most profitable business. They will
come to your front door promising anything you want to hear. They will probably offer to buy your home.
They may offer you money in your pocket today, have your mortgage paid up and most importantly, allow you
to stay in your home, sometimes, even rent free.
You will be given papers to sign. DON'T SIGN!!!!
In most of the scams today, one of the papers will be giving away ownership to your home. You will no
longer be the owner! In other cases you may be placing a lien on your property that you may never be able
to repay. Just because the page does not have the words "DEED" or "MORTGAGE" on it doesn't mean you are
not giving an interest in your home.
